Are the Animals Guilty Too?

Hello All:

I would never have believed it had I not heard it with my own ears; Springerville’s animal control officer has never seen distemper or rabies. Our animal control officer has held that postition for at least ten years that I know of.

It’s bad enough that the town officials are trying to make my life a living hell, but, the animals are innocent and not guilty because they belong to me. I called animal control for help with one of my Rotts and the above answer is what I got. I suppose I should give him the benefit of the doubt and call it “Job security,” to blow me off and in so many words refuse to help me. However, I am not inclined to do that as it has more to do with the mentality of this town than any benefit of the doubt.

So be it! I’m still not going to move guys; you’ll never be rid of me, not as long as I can breathe. That’s not an invitation to take some kind of sinister action to make me stop breathing either!!

I could no doubt understand this small-minded behavior if I had lied about the corruption in this town, but I didn’t. In fact, I provided proof for every word I wrote in my book and posted on my blog.

I guess we really don’t “KNOW” people the way we think we do. Not being this small-minded and vindictive I don’t recognize it right away when I see it.
